Originally from Shunde in Guangzhou province, Liang Boyu (Leung Pak-
yu) first studied painting with Li Yaobing (1888-1938). Relocating to Hong
Kong in 1932, Liang Boyu opened his own artist’s studio and served as
the executive director of the Hong Kong Chinese Art Club.
