            A RARE SET OF EIGHT IMPERIALLY
            INSCRIBED INK CAKES
            JIAQING MARKS AND PERIOD
            each of rectangular form, moulded to one
            face with a landscape taken from a painting
            by Yun Shouping, accompanied with a title
            in gilt, the reverse impressed and gilt with a
            corresponding poem beneath a yuzhi mark,
            the sides incisded with a six-character reign
            mark, all within a fitted rectangular lacquer
            box and cover, the cover inlaid with mother-
            of-pearl around the rims and painted in
            gold lacquer with two ferocious five-clawed
            dragons writhing amidst stylised clouds,
            centrered on an inscription inlaid in mother-
            of-pearl, reading Yu ti Yun Shouping fang
            Nizan Ba wan tu shi mo (‘Imperially inscribed
            ink cakes with eight paintings by Yun
            Shouping in the style of Nizan and poem)
