the interior modelled with a central floral-shaped
compartment with six radiating sections, painted with
dragons and phoenix in flight amidst blossoms on
leafy sprigs, the exterior similarly decorated, the base
inscribed with a six-character reign mark within a double
circle in underglaze blue

Collection of Sigisbert Chretien Bosch Reitz (1860-
1938). Bequeathed to his godson Jonkheer G.C. Six van
Wimmenum (1892-1975).

THE COVER WANLI PERIOD, THE BOX 19TH
CENTURY
of square quatrelobed form, the cover painted with a
pair of confronting five-clawed dragons reaching for a
peach inscribed with the shou character borne on a leafy
steam emerging from rockwork amidst crashing waves,
the sides with four sinuous dragons flying amidst cloud
scrolls, the matched box similarly decorated, the base Mark
inscribed with an apocryphal six-character mark
