A RARE RETICULATED FAHUA JAR,
GUAN
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644) PROVENANCE
The jar has a broad, tapering body decorated with scenes of scholars, Mrs. Howell H. Howard Collection.

honeycomb pattern on the neck, and above a band of petal lappets 明 琺華鏤雕人物圖罐
encircling the foot, all picked out in turquoise, yellow, yellowish-brown
and white on a dark blue ground, and the interior is covered with a thin
turquoise glaze.
