Each with gently curved, reticulated angular
scrolling back framing a central splat finely
carved in shallow relief, the first with two seal
script characters, the second with flowering
peonies, the first chair with a reticulated
angular scrolling apron to the front and solid
beaded apron to the sides, the second with
reticulated angular scrolling apron to three
sides, solid to the back, each chair supported
by four rectangular corner feet with plain
straight stretchers. The first: 94.5cm (37
1/4in) x 41.5cm (15 1/8in) x 52cm (20 1/2in);
the second: 94cm (37in) x 41.5cm (16 1/8in) x
53cm (20 7/8in) (2).
