A CHINESE EXPORT BLACK AND GOLD LACQUER CABINET
ON ASSOCIATED STAND
Early 19th century
The double doors opening to reveal five sliding drawers to the interior
with ivory handles, decorated with scenes of figures at leisure in fenced,
tree-strewn riverside gardens, the exterior with similarly decorated
panels within borders of dragons pursuing flaming pearls, floral and
foliate meander, associated lacquered and gilt wood stand.
The cabinet: 39cm (15.3/8in) high, 38.5cm (15.1/8in) wide; 28cm (11in)
deep. Overall height with the associated stand 114.5cm (45in). (2).

A MASSIVE TIELIMU ALTAR TABLE, QIAOTOUAN
Late Qing Dynasty
The long rectangular table on two panelled supports, embellished
with carved entwined rope motifs in relief and archaistic scrolls, with
typical raised ends, the apron with ‘shou’ symbols and archaic dragon
scrolling in low relief at the apron, the wood of an even chocolate
