Each of the lobed sides variously cast in The heavily cast vessel decorated with panels
shallow relief with a ‘shou’ roundel within an enclosing birds, butterflies, fish, lotus and
ogival medallion, the Hehe Erxian, Shoulao prunus branches, all with a key fret border,
and a sage under a pine tree, all framed by the lid similarly decorated and with a lotus
stylised flower heads, the cover with further bud knop.
