An amber carving
18th or 19th century
Modelled as a lady seated on rockwork beside a pine tree, wearing
long flowing robes, her hair pulled up in a chignon, the amber of
yellow-orange tone, wood stand.

An amber ‘Three Abundances’ pendant
18th/19th century
Carved to one side with the Three Abundances, sanduo, hanging
from trailing leafy and flowering branches, the reverse with three
pomegranates suspended from a further branch with two mythical
three legged toads variously clambering at the top and bottom, cord
fitting with jadeite bead.
The pendant 5.7cm (2.1/4in) long.

An ‘Eighteen Luohan’ amber necklace
Qing Dynasty or later
Strung with eighteen beads formed into a different characterful face
representing one of the mythical Arhats of Buddhism, spaced with
pairs of smaller beads, the terminal beads suspending a tassel, wood
box. From top to bottom: 37cm (14 1/2in) long
