A Chinese amber carving of three rams
qing dynasty
the translucent stone of a caramel colour, carved in the
round as three rams grouping beside lingzhi shrubs,
with one of the ram holding an abstract cloud shaped
bag in its mouth, three rams is the symbol of vigor.

the first depicting a young girl, with chrysanthemum
in her left hand; the second depicting a standing
guanyin holding a bottle; the third depicting a
standing lady wearing long flowing robe; the fourth a
grouping of boy and dog. (4).
