With the prominent bulge on the front of the head, the present fgure
$8,000-12,000 possibly depicts the Buddha’s disciple, Kashyapa, who is usually portrayed
as an elderly monk, and is paired with the younger disciple Ananda. Images

sometimes Guanyin. Alternatively, the present fgure could have been part
