A SMALL BLUE AND WHITE ‘MELON’ JAR
YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND
OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)
The body is elegantly divided into six lobes and tapers from the rounded
shoulder to the foot of conforming outline. Each lobe is decorated with a
fruiting leafy melon vine of varying composition.
