          A LARGE FAMILLE VERTE BALUSTER VASE AND COVER       A similar baluster vase and cover with fgural and landscape panels, in the

          The vase is decorated with rectangular, leaf, fan, ruyi and pomegranate-  Staatliche Kunstsammlungen, in Dresden, acquired in May 1722 from the
          shaped panels depicting various fgural scenes, including the Emperor Yao   dealer Madame Bassetouche, is illustrated by Eva Ströber  in La Maladie de

          meeting a monk and his attendant; a general standing in front of his tiger   Dr. Leonard Gow, are illustrated by The Earl of Lytton, Sir William Llewellyn
          skin-covered chair; a scholar and fsherman; and various panels depicting a   and Laurence Binyon in the Catalogue of the International Exhibition of
          tiger, a qilin and a bixie, as well as various panels with precious objects, fowers   Chinese Art, 1935-1936, Royal Academy of Arts, London, no. 1817 & 1829,
          and landscapes. The panels are reserved on a green ground decorated with
          scattered fower heads. The domed cover is painted with three foral panels   pl. 172, pp. 152-153. One of a pair is illustrated by R.L. Hobson C.B. in The
