          A FAMILLE VERTE ‘BIRD AND FLOWER’ ROULEAU VASE
          KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
          The vase is decorated and gilt to the body with a pair of phoenix amongst
          blooming peonies, and a pair of magpies perched on a blossoming prunus
          branch, with further scattered birds and insects in fight. The neck is
          decorated with further groups of fowers, and the shoulder is decorated with a
          geometric band interspersed with foral cartouches. The base is marked with a
          double circle in underglaze blue.
