A SOAPSTONE FIGURE OF GUANYIN
QING DYNASTY, 18TH/19TH
CENTURY
carved standing dressed in a loose robe cascading in ample
folds and delicately engraved with foliate scrolls, holding a
scroll in one hand and her sleeves with the other, her face with
a benevolent expression framed by a high chignon covered
with a veil, the later stand modelled as a pierced rock
