A BRONZE DRAGON-HANDLED FOLIATE VASE
YUAN DYNASTY
cast with a pear-shaped body rising to a waisted neck and flared mouthrim formed with
four bracket foliations, flanked by a pair of handles in the form of dragons with long
slender tongues, the body bordered with two wide bands enclosing archaistic motifs, the
foot accented with a further band enclosing archaistic designs, the smooth patinated
surface of a variegated brown colour
