PROVENANCE

Acquired directly from the artist.

The painting is dedicated to Erlene
Fray, who was a student of Madeline
Fu, who owned an art store and
taught Chinese paintings in northern
California beginning in the early 1960s.
Ms. Fu was a close friend of Zhang
Daqian, who lived in nearby Carmel
for years, and it was during that time
that Ms. Fray met him.

畫家。大千張爰。
鈐印：大千唯印大年
來源：直接得自畫家本人。
註：這幅畫是張大千為Erlene Fray女
士所作。Erlene Fray女士是符朱霞
的弟子，曾在二十世紀六十年代早
期在南加州開設畫廊並教授中國國
畫。符女士曾是張大千的摯友，同
時也是張大千旅居卡梅爾時期的鄰
居。Fray女士就是在此期間結識張
大千。
