     A FINE FAMILLE ROSE RUBY-GROUND                                         The earliest known group of this type of bowl was made during the
                                                                             Qianlong reign. A pair of blue-ground floral medallion bowls from the
     ‘MEDALLION’ BOWL                                                        collections of Lord Loch of Drylaw and Alfred Morrison of the Fonthill
                                                                             Heirlooms, was published by S. Marchant & Son in Recent Acquisitions

     The exterior is well enamelled with four gilt-bordered roundels
     enclosing sprays of peonies, peaches, camellia and pomegranates,        來源
     divided by stylised lotus sprigs against a sgraffiato ruby-pink         英國私人珍藏,建立於1950至1960年代
     ground; the interior is painted in underglaze blue with a central
     medallion of a basket of flowers, surrounded by four detached
     clusters of lingzhi growing beside other flowering and fruiting
     plants on the cavetto.
