                                                                         bowls, bowls with variations on the design have been published.
     A RARE PAIR OF DOUCAI BOWLS                                         Compare with a pair of Yongzheng bowls from the C.P. Lin Collection,
                                                                         larger in size (13.8 and 14 cm. diam.), with similar but slightly more
     YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARKS IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE                    simplified decorative elements included in the joint exhibition with the
                                                                         Percival David Foundation, Elegant Form and Harmonious Decoration,
     WITHIN DOUBLE CIRCLES AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)                 London, 1992 and illustrated by R. Scott, Catalogue, p. 129, no. 144.

     Each bowl is finely painted and enamelled to the exterior around    Compare, an almost identical but larger (14 cm. diam.) pair of bowls
     the steep rounded sides with stylised Shou characters and linked    sold at Sotheby’s London, 13 July 2005, lot 259; compare also, an
     pendent arabesques suspended from an interlocking ‘c’-scroll        almost identical example and of the same size sold at Sotheby’s
     border around the rim, the scroll border is repeated around the     London, 10 June 1997, lot 93. A further Qianlong mark and period
     base supporting five bats detailed in iron red, all between double  doucai bowl with the same design but slightly larger in size (13 cm.
     lines.
     5 in. (12.8 cm.) diam., Japanese wood boxes                         diam.) was sold at Christie’s London, 5 December 1994, lot 100.
