A CARVED ALOESWOOD FIGURE OF TWO DEER
MING DYNASTY, 16TH CENTURY
The group is carved as a stag and a doe, both in a recumbent
position and each turning its head to face the other. The stag
grasps a lingzhi spray in its mouth.
