A CLAIR-DE-LUNE-GLAZED ARCHAISTIC
VESSEL, JUE
QIANLONG FOUR-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE
AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The vessel is finely potted in the shape of an archaistic bronze jue,
with two short posts rising from the mouth and a C-form handle
to one side, all raised on three notched, splayed legs, covered
overall in a bluish-white glaze stopping at the base of the feet to
reveal the white biscuit body.
