A PAIR OF BLUE AND WHITE ‘LOTUS’ DISHES
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
Each dish is painted on the interior with a single lotus spray in
the central medallion, enclosed by a band of scrolling lotus in the
well. The exterior is decorated with three detached lotus sprays.
The base is inscribed with an apocryphal Chenghua mark.
