The brush rest is modelled in the shape of
a five-peaked mountain with a tall central
peak flanked by smaller peaks on each side.
The flat base is of elongated oval shape
and the stone is of an even mottled yellow
tone.

A CARVED WHITE JADE INSET
HUANGHUALI BOX AND COVER
Plaque: QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The white jade plaque is carved with a
young boy holding the stems of a large
lotus leaf and a lotus bud, and is inset onto
the cover of a rectangular huanghuali box.
The stone is of an even white tone with a
few russet inclusions.
