A CARVED ALOESWOOD ‘LANDSCAPE’ BRUSH
POT
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The irregularly shaped aloeswood brush pot is carved in relief
on the exterior with a continuous landscape depicting fishermen
fishing in a tranquil river, the embankment graced by cragging
cliffs and towering pine and wutong trees. The mouth and foot
rims are mounted by hardwood caps.
