A PAIR OF HUANGHUALI SIDE CHAIRS,
DENGGUAYI
LATE QING DYNASTY
Each chair has a curved crestrail that is raised on a S-shaped
backsplat above the mat seat and cusped, beaded apron and
spandrels. The whole is raised on legs of rounded-square
section joined by stepped stretchers.

A LARGE TIELIMU CABINET, FANGJIAOGUI
18TH CENTURY
Of rectangular form, the cabinet has attractively figured
panels set within wide frames carved with beaded edges.
The doors are fitted flush and open to reveal the shelved
interior fitted with two drawers. The whole is raised on
square-section legs joined by shaped, beaded apron on the
front and plain aprons on the sides.
