A GREENISH-YELLOW JADE FISH-FORM PENDANT
LATE SHANG-EARLY WESTERN ZHOU DYNASTY, 11TH-9TH CENTURY BC
The pendant of arc-shape has a suspension hole in front of the head, and the tail has
a cutting edge to be used as a tool. The features are well defined in grooved lines, and
the stone is of greenish-yellow tone with extensive opaque alteration.

A PALE GREY JADE ARCHAISTIC 'DRAGON' PENDANT
SONG-MING DYNASTY (AD 960-1644)
The flat pendant is carved in openwork on both sides as a dragon shown in profile, its
scrolled body carved with scales and detailed markings. The stone of greyish-white
tone has areas of russet and brown color.
