                   A MUGHAL-STYLE METAL AND HARDSTONE-
                   MOUNTED PALE GREYISH-GREEN JADE
                   VASE AND COVER
                   LATE QING DYNASTY
                   Formed as a moon flask, the vase is very well hollowed
                   and carved on either side with a central lotus flower
                   enclosed by curling leaves and tendrils, beneath a leafy
                   arabesque on either side of the neck which is flanked by
                   a pair of scroll-form handles. The domed cover is carved
                   with further flowers. The stone is of a pale greyish-green
                   tone and the stone insets on the gold frame include
                   turquoise and ruby.
