A pale green jade carving of a sage and acolyte
18th/19th century
The elderly sage carved with a beard and high-browed wrinkled
forehead, bent slightly over as he reaches out his left hand in instruction,
the acolyte standing respectfully behind with shaven head and smiling
face, reaching out his right hand from the folds of his robe, wood stand.
9.5cm (3¾in) high (2).
