A chicken-bone jade tortoise-dragon
Ming Dynasty
The greyish ochre stone unusually carved as a tortoise with the head of
a two-horned dragon turning to look behind and breathing cloud scrolls
wreathing around a collection of books balanced on the tortoise’s back,
the long tail spreading up over the shell and the four feet with gently
curled claws, box.
