A blanc-de-chine figure of Guanyin
18th century
The Goddess of Mercy modelled standing in
a gently swaying pose, the head and eyes
downcast beneath a high chignon, the hands
elegantly reaching towards the right side and
the left foot emerging from the flowing robes,
standing on a lotus flower beside a peach
above foaming waves, all covered in a rich
creamy glaze.

An unusual pair of lobed white-glazed
‘Eight Immortals’ jars
17th/18th century
Each jar moulded with eight panels, each panel
containing one of the Eight Daoist Immortals
with their attributes amid cloud scrolls, above a
moulded taotie mask and beneath a ruyi-head,
all covered with an attractive glaze of delicate
greyish hue, wood covers and stands.
