An aventurine glass ‘phoenix and peach’ vase
Qing Dynasty
The brilliantly glistening reddish-brown glass carved with a long-tailed
phoenix perched on rockwork beside a gnarled stump issuing on one
side four heads of lingzhi fungus and on the other side a branch laden
with three heavy peaches, the reverse carved with further lingzhi fungus,
peaches and a shaft of leafy bamboo.
