               Huang Yi (1744-1802), courtesy name Xiaosong and
               style name Qiuan, was a native of Hangzhou in Zhejiang
               Province. He was a master in seal carving, known as a
               member of the ‘Eight Masters of Xiling’. Huang excelled in
               calligraphy and landscape painting that he cultivated, with
               his own style displaying a unique structure in his works.
