A pair of cloisonné enamel vases, meiping
18th/19th century
Each enamelled in red, yellow, green and purple on a turquoise
ground with two pairs of birds perched on leafy flowering branches,
one branch bearing two large peaches, all beneath four ruyi-shaped
cartouches enclosing a geometric and floral ground extending onto
the short straight neck beneath the gilded rim.
Each 27.5cm (10 7/8in) high (2).

十八/十九世紀 掐絲琺瑯花鳥紋梅瓶一對
The use of the honeycomb diaper pattern on the shoulders of
the meiping vases is similar to that decorating a cloisonné enamel
meiping, Qianlong, in the National Palace Museum, Taipei, illustrated
by Chen Hsia-Sheng, Enamel Ware in the Ming and Ch’ing Dynasties,
Taipei, 1999, pl.68.

A cloisonné enamel tripod incense burner and cover
19th century
The rounded body raised on three Buddhist-lion heads each issuing
a curving leg, the body enamelled around the centre with four
shou characters each between two of the Eight Buddhist Symbols,
bajixiang, above and below, all on foliate scrolls parting to reveal
fretwork terminating in two chilong heads, the handles each shaped
as stylised lingzhi fungus surmounted by a ruyi-head panel containing
a shou character encircled by five gilt bats, the cover with three
ruyi-head cartouches each enclosing a shou characacter against a
reticulated gilt ground of bats and cloud scrolls, all surmounted by a
reticulated gilt five-clawed dragon finial.
