A large blue and white fish bowl
Circa 1800
Boldly painted on the exterior with a continuous scene depicting a
covered sampan on a broad river beneath six birds in flight, the river
flanked by a lone fisherman and small dwellings built out over the banks,
the scenery leading up to high wooded peaks enclosing a two-storied
mansion within a courtyard, all beneath a band of circles in reserve
below the lipped rim, the interior with a blue-tinged glaze.
