A TIBETAN SUTRA WITH SINGLE COVER
The manuscript cover of thick pressed paper
inset with a recessed inscription in raised
gilt on a black lacquer ground separating
opposing images of two seated arhats in
polychrome pigments and a movable cloth
cover, four further leaves with opposing
Buddhist figures facing a reserve inscribed in
large gilt Tibetan characters, the remaining
multiple leaves inscribed with text on
both sides; with cloth wrapper (possibly
incomplete, wear, repairs).

WOOD COVERS
The two wood covers each painted in
polychrome pigments on the interior with
three Buddha roundels; the palm leaves
inscribed on each side, and each side drilled
with two circular holes through the center
polychrome-painted images of seated
Buddhas (extensive wear, losses, possibly
incomplete).
