              Wearing a five-peak crown inscribed Fo to the front, an elaborate
24 | BONHAMS  necklace across his chest visible above the top edge of his
              undergarment and a voluminous outer mantle enveloping his arms
              with raised hands and his legs locked in the posture of meditation,
              the worn surfaces showing remains of gilt lacquer (repaired, losses,
              retouched).

              A BOXWOOD FIGURE OF GUANYIN AND BABY
              Republic period
              Elegantly coiffed and dressed in flowing robes as she stands on a
              coiled dragon fish, her right hand supporting the baby boy holding a
              bat while a stream of liquid elixir flows downward from a vase held in
              her left hand, the eyes of the deity and the dragon inlaid in black and
              white (repaired age cracks, losses to inlay).

              A POLYCHROME PAINTED WOOD BUDDHIST FIGURE
              The crowned figure seated dhyanasana on a lotus flower support
              with hands joined in anjali mudra, the reverse cut with a rectangular
              recess for dedication materials that are no longer preserved, the
              weathered surfaces showing remains of various colors on a gesso
              ground (losses, repairs).

              A GROUP OF THREE GILT AND POLYCHROME LACQUERED
              WOOD CARVINGS
              The first, a Daoist deity dressed in the cap and robes of a scholar,
              his cupped left hand meant to hold an attribute that is no longer
              preserved, his face showing drill holes for the attachment of a
              mustache and beard, the surfaces showing traces of gilt over red
              lacquer (losses, replacement base); and a pair of architectural
              fragments carved as fu-lions standing on overturned lotus leaves,
              one lion playing with a cub and the other balancing one front leg on
              a ball, the worn surfaces showing remains of red and gilt lacquer
              (losses, wear).
