A PAIR OF IRON-RED-DECORATED ‘DRAGON’ CUPS
Daoguang six-character seal marks and of the period
Finely potted in deep ‘U’ shape rising from a short straight foot
to gently everted rim, each painted with a pair of dragons above
cresting waves encircling the cup in pursuit of flaming pearls, all
within underglaze-blue line borders, the base with Daoguang six-
character seal marks in underglaze-blue.
2 3/8in (6.1cm) diam; 2in (5.1cm) high
