Northern Song dynasty Property from collection of Dr. Wallace and Alice Smith, San
Freely painted in black slip on the exterior a continuous scroll of Francisco, in the collection prior to 1971, by descent
peony blossoms against the cream slip ground, the leaves and

covering inside and out except the high foot, the vessel heavily fund
potted in deep spherical form with a raised band at mouth rim, the

lipped rim. A small painted Cizhou jar with the same type of rim is in
北宋 磁州窯白地黑彩劃花大碗 the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum, accession number
