additional leafy gourds and scrolling tendrils; the evenly-hued white
stone polished to an attractive soft luster.

A RARE INSCRIBED COCONUT-SHELL SNUFF BOTTLE
1800-1880
Thinly sectioned, of irregular ovoid profile, one side finely carved with
an archaic inscription, followed with engraved characters reading
Mo fuzhoujia ming (imitating the inscription from (archaic bronze
wine vessel jia), with an unidentified signature, the reverse lightly and
delicately incised with three scholars in a boat floating down a stream
under a tree covered precipitous cliff; the incised details washed in
gold color.
