A FAMILLE VERTE BALUSTER VASE
Kangxi
The exterior enamelled with an equestrian military
scene depicting archers on galloping horses
watched by a group of officials sitting within a
fenced pavilion and attendants carrying vessels
and refreshments, all amidst a mountainous rocky
landscape dotted by pine trees below scrolling
iron-red clouds, the shoulders with a diaper ground
interrupted by four evenly-spaced panels each
containing a blossoming lotus, the ribbed neck
with a riverside scene enclosing a pair of farmers
crossing a bridge.
