Late Qing Dynasty
The cabinet supported by four small feet, carved overall with
bamboo-trunk edges, the top with scrolling lotus reticulated frieze,
each aperture framed by further scrolling leafage spandrels. 92.5cm

A HONGMU ‘ANTIQUES’ SIDE CABINET
19th/20th century
Formed from two hat-box compartments from a pair of wardrobes,
the rectangular top above two pairs of cupboard doors each carved
in relief with a single archaistic vessel after bronze prototypes, raised
on a well-matched stand carved with scroll designs on squat cabriole
supports with mythical bird carved knees and ending in ball and claw
feet.

The floriform top carved in shallow relief with a scrolling grapevine
border before a beaded edge, all supported by a carved and pierced
apron and four lion mask and feet cabriolet legs, with a circular shelf
