Kangxi six-character marks and of the period
Each incised and painted to the interior with a pair of confronting
green and aubergine dragons in pursuit of a flaming pearl within a
double circle, the exteriors with fruiting vines. Each 13.2cm (5 1/4in)
diam. (2).

A WUCAI ‘HORSES’ JAR AND COVER
17th century
Boldly painted and enamelled with aubergine and yellow horses
leaping against a ground of iron-red wave swirls and prunus
blossoms, between beribboned auspicious objects and above two
mountain peaks, the cover similarly decorated and with a pointed
knop.
