BURNER, DING
The ding, Song/Ming Dynasty, the gu,
17th/18th century
The ding cast with bands of archaistic
zoomorphic motifs on a leiwen ground, the
surface patinated to a rich hue and painted
green and orange; the small beaker vases
also cast with stylised animal motifs on
leiwen grounds to the mid sections. The
ding: 15.5cm (6in) high; the pair of beakers:
14.5cm (5 3/4in) high (3).

TWO ARCHAISTIC BRONZE WINE
VESSELS, JUE
The first, dated Kangxi 25th year
(corresponding to AD1687) and of the period;
the second, 17th/18th century
Each modelled after the archaic ritual vessel,
with thee blade-shaped feet and a single
mask-and-loop handle, the smaller vessel
with roundels of stylised dragons. The first:
14.5cm (5 3/4in) high (2).

Late Ming Dynasty
Each variously cast with archaistic leiwen
or stylised bird motifs, comprising: a square
incense burner and cover, fangding; a hu
vase with pared loop and loose ring handles;
and a tripod incense burner, ding, Xuande
six-character mark to base. The fangding:
22.8cm. (9in) high. (4).
