SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY
with deeply rounded sides rising to a slightly
incurved rim, the interior with three papercut
lozenges in brown reserved on a mottled
mushroom-brown ground, the exterior applied
with a ‘tortoiseshell’ glaze stopping unevenly
above the foot to reveal the pale bu# body
