The brush pot is painted with a continuous
scene depicting Chang’e holding a rabbit
in her left arm and a branch of osmanthus
in her right hand, and accompanied by two
attendants.

LATE MING-EARLY QING DYNASTY,
17TH CENTURY
The hexagonal cup is potted with flared
sides divided into six lobes, each panel
decorated in brilliant tones of cobalt blue
with a floral spray.
