A PAIR OF BLUE AND WHITE ‘LADIES’ CHARGERS
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
Each charger is painted on the centre of the interior with a scene of two ladies at leisure
with their sons in a fenced garden, below the everted rim decorated with four cartouches
alternately enclosing flowers and figures in activity. The mouth rim is dressed brown, and
the reverse and base are plain.
