A RETICULATED AMBER
‘PRECIOUS OBJECTS’ PLAQUE
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The plaque is carved depicting a lion on
top of an archaic ding supported by a lotus
blossom, a gu containing flowers, and a
gui containing ornamental rocks, amidst
pierced foliage, set within a wood screen
further embellished by mother-of-pearl and
glass inlays.
