                                                               Carved in the round with a tiger and a deer
                                                               chasing each other’s tail, the material is of a
                                                               semi-translucent, rich orange-red tone with
                                                               concentrated opaque areas.

     ‘POMEGRANATE’ PENDANT
     QING DYNASTY, 18TH-19TH
     CENTURY
     The translucent material of deep brownish-
     red tone is carved and pierced with
     pomegranate fruits borne on intertwining
     branches, some split open to reveal the
     seeds inside.
