The quality of this stone, skilfully accentuated through the 成器表面光潤素淨,借皮沁作福壽靈芝,祥瑞之喻尤合美
finely finished plain surfaces and selective inclusion of the 玉之質。清代工藝品善用動植物紋飾,取其諧音祝頌吉
russet skin, perfectly complements the auspicious wishes 祥。蝙蝠、靈芝寓意「福至心靈」,紋飾多見於清代玉
represented through the peach, bat and lingzhi branches.
器,時配飾壽桃。
Animals and plants whose names were homophonous to words
with favourable meanings were commonly employed in Qing 可比較桃形洗一例,側雕莖葉長盤,添飾瑞蝠成對,Alan
