A FINE PAIR OF YELLOW GROUND
GREEN-ENAMELLED ‘DRAGON
AND PHOENIX’ BOWLS
XIANFENG SIX-CHARACTER
MARKS IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE
AND OF THE PERIOD (1851-1861)
Each bowl is incised and enamelled in bright
green with two sinuous dragons striding
around the exterior alternated with two long-
tailed phoenixes, the interior centred with a
roundel containing a Shou character.
