TURQUOISE-ENAMELLED
‘CHILONG AND LOTUS’ BOWL
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The bowl is applied with white slip on the
exterior with four lotus blooms flanked by
pairs of chilong, separated by bats above
chimes, all covered with turquoise enamel
including the interior, and the bi-shaped
countersunk base with six spur marks, with
the exception of the gilt rim.

A PAIR OF SMALL MOULDED
TURQUOISE-ENAMELLED LOTUS-
SHAPED BOWLS
QING DYNASTY, 18TH-19TH
CENTURY
Each is moulded as a lotus pod in the
centre, surrounded by three rows of lotus
petals on the well, rising to a gilt fluted
rim, covered overall with turquoise enamel
including the countersunk base.
